"Share the Harvest" Volunteer Day YMCA Dartmouth
The Sharing the Harvest Community Farm Project is a collaboration between
the Dartmouth YMCA, United Way of Greater New Bedford and the Hunger Commission of Southeastern Massachusetts. Over the past two years of operation, the project has grown and distributed over 6000 pounds of fresh vegetables to food pantries and soup kitchens from Fall River to Wareham. The success of the project stems from the support of the local community.
GrNBAR’s Community Service and Donations Committee is sponsoring a Share the Harvest Volunteer Day on Thursday, September 11th from 9am until noon. If you can spare a couple of hours to help harvest the crops at the Dartmouth YMCA, you will be helping to feed thousands of hungry children and families in your community.
